”I was not familiar with TPE when it was first recommended to me by a former co-worker. I started working here back in 2014 and to this day I still think it is a fantastic place to work. It means a lot to me that it is a member-owned organisation and not an actual travel agency like the places I have worked before. It is a small company, 100% Danish – two factors which are important to me. Management work alongside us and not in some office in another country. We share the same values, do things in a similar manner and we understand each other, while there is also room for differences, and we are a diverse crowd with room for everyone, and it is okay to be different. Being a smaller company means that there is not a long distance from the bottom to the top and competencies and ideas are allowed to flourish in a brand new way”.

”Staffwise there is a great sense of solidarity and cohesion and there is a fantastic ambiance/spirit at the office, where we have fun together and are interested in each other. We pay a small fee towards a staff association which organises a few social events during the year in order to strengthen the sense of community - in addition to our summer party and Christmas party, which are both events of high priority”.

As travel consultant I am part of a team of 5 offline consultants and 3 online employees, where our members call or email us when they want to book flights, car, hotel, train etc across the world, or we provide support to the members who have booked online on their own. I am also the project manager for an optimisation project we are close to finishing which is about streamlining TPE’s overall travel office. In the future this will mean optimised work processes for our travel consultants and travel planners, who are our public image, and it has been a profound and stimulating process for me to be the project manager of this”.
